Skillshare: Thinking Preferences and Engaging Your Students:

This is a great read that takes left vs right brain one step further. I made me think a lot about my own preferences and those of my coworkers, customers, etc. I also like how he takes the concept one step further and gives some tips on how to develop a presentation that engages all types.

In case you are wondering, I’m definitely a Top Brain person…and tend to flip flop between Left and Right brain, with Left probably winning out slightly more often.

I’m looking forward to trying this recipe when my CSA produce box starts arriving in May. I consider Kale “the most useless green” and it appears all summer in my produce box. I never know what to do with it. Since Smitten Kitchen clearly hates it as much as I do, I’m hopeful about this recipe.

Flash back to Christmas 2007…I’d been cooking up a storm that December, making all sorts of yummy treats as gifts for people. My hands were like sandpaper from all the cooking related hand-washing. I’d been using various hand lotions that I’d had around the house, but nothing was working. Poor hands.

I spent Christmas that year in Savannah, Georgia, where my Dad and Step-mom live. I was wandering around the town doing some shopping and realized that I didn’t have any lotion with me. I stopped into the cute gift shop and they had a nice selection of various skin and bath products. I tried a bunch of stuff, but totally fell in love with a little tube of Lollia Handcreme. It soothed my hands, smelled wonderful, and most importantly, wasn’t greasy. I’ve been devoted ever since.

The little tubes are perfect for keeping in your purse. The big tubes are great for keeping in your desk at work. They area little pricy, but well worth the money because a little goes a long way, keeping my hands moisturized and smooth.
